My pet is right next to me, but My Pets in the Pawscout App shows Can’t Find a Tag.
First, select "My Pets" from the bottom menu in the Pawscout App. Choose your pet from the list. If you see "Can't Find a Tag," but your pet is with you, please tap "Can't Find a Tag" to help resolve the issue.
Selecting "Can't Find a Tag" will ask you whether your pet is safe with you:
NO - If your pet is not safe with you, you will be prompted to create a Lost Pet Post for your pet. We will guide you through a few short steps to create the best possible post so rescuers know how to care for and return your pet to you quickly.
YES - If your pet is with you, please select YES. We will guide you through a few quick steps to help the Pawscout App locate your Tag.
Before you start, please make sure you have downloaded the latest version of your OS (Android or iOS) and the latest version of the Pawscout App from Google Play or the App Store.
Next, please make sure you have enabled all permissions and notifications.
After verifying your Pawscout App version and giving the necessary permissions, the next step involves performing a Self-Check on nearby Pawscout Tags. If you possess more than one Pawscout Tag, ensure you are at a distance from them and as close as possible to the Tag giving you trouble. You will observe that all operational Tags are identified as "PAWSCOUT-TAG." Simply select the nearest Tag, which should display the highest number of green bars or the strongest signal strength.
If the Self-Check fails to resolve the issue, consider replacing the battery in your Pawscout Bluetooth Tag. If replacing the battery does not rectify the "Can't Find a Tag" message, please do not hesitate to contact us for further assistance.
