When you create a pet’s profile in the Pawscout App, you’re linked to them as their owner. Pet owners can use all of Pawscout’s features to care for their furry buds, like:
- Walk diary and virtual pet leash
- Location updates
- Reporting pets as lost or found
- Editing pet profiles
- Pairing and replacing Tags
- Pawscout’s social feed
But what if you don’t take care of your pet alone? You can share your pet with Pet Parents. Sharing your pet with other household members requires Pawscout Pro and costs less than $1/month.
Pet Parents are family members, partners, roommates or anyone else who is a daily part of your pet’s pack and shares pet care responsibilities. They can access all the same Pawscout features as you because you’re in this together! Most importantly, your Pet Parents will receive real-time SMS alerts about your pet if they go missing – super important if you’re away, indisposed, or unable to help your pet yourself.
If you created your pet’s profile, only you can remove your pet from the Pawscout App and delete yourself as the primary parent. Otherwise, your fellow Pet Parents can manage your pet fully.
To invite Pet Parents, first subscribe to Pawscout Pro. Then go to your pet’s profile in the Pawscout App (select “My Pets” from the bottom menu). From here, choose the “+” sign next to Pet Parents.
Do you want to share your pet with pet-sitters, neighbors, or others who sometimes care for or watch out for your pet? Invite those folks to become Guardians.
