When you create a pet’s profile in the Pawscout App, you’re linked to them as their owner. Pet owners can use all of Pawscout’s features to care for their furry buds.
But what if you want to share your pet with someone like a regular dog walker, a neighbor, or a friend who’s going to watch your cat while you’re out of town? Or, more importantly, what if you are out of town, busy, or indisposed if your pet goes missing? Pet care takes a village, so you should invite your pet’s special people to become Guardians. Inviting Guardians requires Pawscout Pro and costs less than $1/month.
Not only can Guardians help you care for your pet generally – they will receive real-time SMS alerts about your pet if they go missing.
Guardians can use some, but not all, of Pawscout’s pet care features:
- Walk diary and virtual pet leash
- Location updates
- Reporting pets as lost or found
- Pawscout’s social feed
To invite Guardians, first subscribe to Pawscout Pro. Then go to My Pets > Open Profile > select the “+” icon next to Guardians.
If you want to share your pet with a spouse, kid, roommate, or someone else who shares pet care responsibilities more fully, add them as a Pet Parent.
