No. Pawscout Tags are affordable because we use inexpensive technologies to provide approximate location information. If you want to know where your pet is at all times when you’re away from them, GPS trackers can help – but they’re expensive, usually require monthly fees, need frequent recharging, and don’t work unless you have good cellular reception.
If you have the Pawscout Bluetooth Smarter Pet Tag
the Pawscout service leverages the Bluetooth and GPS capabilities of smartphones running the Pawscout App to provide approximate location information on your pet. If you live in a rural area or rely on a hooman pack to care for your pet, consider subscribing to Pawscout Pro to increase your pet’s safety petwork. If you subscribe to Pawscout Pro and invite friends, household members, roommates, neighbors, and friends to become Guardians/Pet Parents of your pet, you will see when your pet is within three hundred feet of any of those Guardians/Pet Parents.
The Pawscout Smarter Pet Tag will not work unless permissions are properly enabled.
If you have PawscoutQR
you will receive location information on your pet when their tag is scanned with a smartphone camera.
You can have the best of both worlds (Bluetooth and QR) by buying our Pawscout Bundle here.
