When you create a pet’s profile in the Pawscout App, you’re linked to them as their owner. Pet owners can use all of Pawscout’s features to care for their furry buds, like:
- Walk diary and virtual pet leash
- Location updates
- Reporting pets as lost or found
- Editing pet profiles
- Pairing and replacing Tags
- Pawscout’s social feed
But what if you don’t take care of your pet alone? You can share your pet with Pet Parents.
Pet Parents are family members, partners, or anyone else who is a daily part of your pet’s pack and shares pet care responsibilities. They can access all the same Pawscout features you can, because you’re in this together! The only things you can do that other Pet Parents can’t are: delete your pet and delete yourself as their owner.
To invite Pet Parents, go to your pet’s profile. From here, choose the "+" sign next to Pet Parents.
Do you want to share your pet with pet-sitters, neighbors, or other people who sometimes take care of or watch out for your pet? Invite those folks to become Guardians.
