When a fellow Pawscouter or concerned citizen comes close enough to a Pawscout pet, whether or not that pet has been marked as Lost, they have the option to notify the owner. If you receive a notification that says someone found your pet, that means they’ve come within range of your pet and believe them to be lost.
If you happen to receive a notification that someone found your pet, but your pet is with you, that’s okay! They’re probably worried your pet is lost. You can get in touch and let them know everything’s good.
If your pet is lost and the hero has created a Found Pet Post for your pet, be sure to select Report (Pet) As Lost when prompted. Now, you will be able to see the Pet Post for your pet, and you and the pet's other Pet Parents will receive an alert.
Each action taken on the Found Pet Post will be viewable for all the Pet Parents for that pet. You also will have the option to contact them directly from the Found Pet Post if they left their contact details.
