It’s a beautiful day to help some pets! Welcome aboard, Pawscouter. On this page, you’ll find everything you need to know about setting up your Pawscout Tag, connecting with the App, and troubleshooting common issues.
Download the App
First thing’s first: Head to the App Store or Google Play to download the Pawscout App on your smartphone. The App will assist you in tracking your pet, recording walks, and using our other features like the virtual pet leash.
Enable Location Services
Pawscout uses GPS to track your phone (like a map or rideshare app), and Bluetooth to track your Tag. You’ll need to enable both to keep tabs on your pet. Select “Always Allow” when prompted.
Create Your Pet's Profile
Introduce your furry BFF to the Pawscout community with a detailed profile. (Don’t forget that glamor shot! A photo will help fellow Pawscouters identify your pet if they become lost.) A word to the wise: When filling out your pet's profile, make sure all fields are completed.
Check Your Battery
If you’re having issues pairing your Pawscout Tag, your battery may be to blame. Here’s how to check to make sure it’s working.
Pair Your Tag
Now you’re ready to pair. After you’ve created your pet’s profile, you’ll be prompted to register your Tag. Make sure you’re outside or in a spot that’s free from Bluetooth and electronic interference! The setup wizard will take it from there.
Attach Your Tag
Every Pawscout Tag can be attached to your pet’s collar either with the hanging O-ring, or with three sizes of flush mount (S, M, L). To affix the flush mount, pick the snuggest fit for your pet’s collar and weave collar through the flush mount’s setting.
