You can always refresh your memory regarding the Pawscout App by going into Settings and selecting "Reset Tooltips."
Choose your pet from the home screen in the Pawscout App to navigate to a map with a large "+" symbol at the bottom. Selecting the "+" reveals the following four options:
1. Start Walk: Pressing the blue shoe will start a pet walk and records the distance, time and location of the walk. The number on the left displays the time of the walk, and the number on the right displays the distance. To end the walk, press the (+) button and choose End Walk.
2. Virtual Leash: Pressing the orange collar enables a virtual leash and is denoted by the button and circle around your pet on the map turning orange. Activate virtual leash only when your pet is near you. Like a standard leash, this feature works best outdoors, with minimal obstructions between you and your pet. Virtual Leash can be disabled by choosing the Virtual Leash.
3. Add Pin: Although the Pawscout map comes prepopulated with thousands of pet stores, groomers, parks, etc., choosing the purple pin enables you to add your favorite pet places to the map enjoyed by all Pawscouters.
4. Report Lost: The exclamation point can only be chosen when your pet is out of range. Selecting this will icon will activate the Pawscout lost pet network. If your pet comes within range of anyone with the Pawscout App, both you and the person nearby will be notified. When your pet is in range and you are finally reunited with your furry friend, select the Report Found on your menu.
